Mission Statement

The mission of the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, Inc. is to provide a safe, healthy environment for people who are homeless and to provide opportunities and to encourage participation for homeless people to achieve self-sufficiency.

The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless is Tulsa Counties' only daytime shelter for people who are experiencing homelessness.

The Day Center offers a safe daytime refuge to people living on the streets of Tulsa County. Our basic human services provide immediate assistance to women, men and families in distress. Once people are able to meet their most pressing needs, they can then take the next steps towards rebuilding their lives.

Welcome to the Day Center

As clients enter the Day Center, they see a 23,000 square foot, bright and inviting space that is welcoming, functional, and yet not extravagant. People who are homeless are sheltered with dignity and provided basic needs while helping them to obtain community assistance, permanent housing and self-sufficiency.

Night Shelter

While the Day Center is the only organization in Tulsa providing shelter during the day, we also provide night shelter for approximately 116 of the most vulnerable and at-risk segment of the homeless population - women and children, those men who suffer from mental or physical illness and men over 55.
