The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless
is an agency of the
Tulsa Area United Way.
Mission:
The mission of the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, Inc. is to provide a safe, healthy environment for people who are homeless and offer them opportunities and encouragement for achieving self-sufficiency.
The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless is the only day time shelter in Tulsa for people who are homeless or are in need. Services provided include: intensive case management, a free Nurses’ Clinic, shower and restroom facilities telephones, Community Voice Mail, a clothing room, mailing address and a locked storage area.
The Day Center is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless also provides night time shelter for approximately 115 people every night. The night shelter serves the most vulnerable and at-risk segment of the homeless population – women, individuals with mental or physical illnesses and men over 55.
The Tulsa Day Center depends on volunteers for both professional services and routine daily assistance to successfully continue serving our clients. We need flexible, friendly people who can commit 3 hours...
