Mr. Henry often asked “What else can I do?” and quietly made things happen.
That is the true Heart of Henry.
Named for the compassionate heart of community philanthropist Henry Zarrow, The Heart of Henry features an annual banquet and award presentation to an individual who has dedicated his or her life to transforming the Tulsa community by helping others, inclusive of the Day Center. Mr. Henry dedicated his life to helping those less fortunate, and this event recognizes someone who shares the philanthropic vision that he embraced.
In 2016 we introduced the Katie Eller Youth Philanthropy Award, given to an individual or group who currently, or formerly, had an affinity for the Day Center at a young age. The inaugural award was given to its namesake, Katie Eller, who as a child raised more than $350,000 for the Tulsa Day Center through her Lemon-Aid movement.
